Casa del guarda (Guarda=Guardian)
It was the building in the best shape and condition prior to the refurbishment. With some extra effort we have been able to keep its roof structure and walls. In addition this has made possible the most versatile room of the Caserío, and the most emblematic. A couple may enjoy its master bedroom and bathroom, and a seating area with dining table and kitchen. Or add another two people in the complementary room (also with its own bathroom), making a total capacity of four people. Or even up to six people by using the long sofas in the living area that we have adapted to become beds. This is the best option then for a large family; or for a couple with two children and the grandparents; or for two close couples with or without children; etc. Versatility as we said.
All our cosy rooms are well equipped with everything one could expect, with some possible hidden surprises: TVs hide DVDs and there are kitchens available in the common area of Casa Paneras House and in the Casa del Guarda; or microwaves with grills are found in the Casa Gallinero rooms.
The beds are 1’80 x 2 m (or 0’90 x 2 m the twin beds), with inviting bedding sets (bed linen of over 200 threads-count of soft cotton percale, antiallergy mattresses, duvets and stylish covers and pillowcases, finished with stitched cords and embroidery, our CFC logo).
Reading lights are attached to the bedrooms headboards which have been specially designed for us together with the window shutters, the wooden beam structure, the wooden countertops and the wardrobes (which are especially roomy). Apart from a TV, all rooms are equipped with kettles for making tea and coffee, and refrigerators. The heating is individual and there are modern ceiling fans (except in the rooms facing North).
All bathrooms have natural light and exterior windows (in PANERAS 4 through a Velux), spacious wash basins, most of them double, dual shower head systems (fixed and body wand), with a very comfortable and relaxing flow of water. Bath towels and sheets are soft and absorbent and 100% cotton. As for the bathroom toiletry we have intentionally avoided the use of plastic amenities. The bathrooms are equipped with hairdryers.
